The stormwater pond development at Riyadh City North forms a key component of the infrastructure works for one of Abu Dhabi’s largest new urban districts. The project comprises six major stormwater ponds with a combined area exceeding 500,000 sqm, designed to provide long-term flood protection and drainage capacity for the expanding residential community.
An innovative lining system was adopted as an alternative to conventional rip-rap, delivering a faster, durable, and more sustainable solution while exceeding the performance requirements of traditional systems.
