POME Applications for Rail Industry
The rail industry has been growing as new rail projects have been launched within the Gulf region linking key components of the transportation industry with urban and remote communities. The construction cost of rail projects is usually high as rail alignment extends between cities and remote areas, so the magnitude of earthworks increases the construction cost since the rail alignment may run through weak and soft soils that will require major ground improvement efforts to stabilize the foundation beneath the railroad track. Our designs and applications can be utilized to reduce ground improvement costs and increase railroad track stability over the entire stretch of track.
What We Offer
In Rail projects, POME implements Tensar’s proprietary geogrid system which has been approved by Network Rail in the UK and around the world. The geogrid we offer is the subject of 30 years of research and improvement from research institutes and world-known universities around the world. The function of the award-winning geogrid we offer is an interlocking mechanism that traps aggregate in the geogrid’s aperture, enhancing the track’s stability and limits lateral movement.
