This project forms part of the 45 km Dubai–Fujairah Freeway, a strategic national highway connecting Dubai to Fujairah and significantly reducing travel time between the east and west coasts of the UAE. Cutting through the rugged Hajar Mountains, the project involved complex infrastructure works in challenging terrain to deliver a critical transport corridor.
In total, 26 major MSE walls were constructed with a combined face area exceeding 80,000 sqm, including three-tiered wall systems forming an integral structure with cumulative heights of up to 60 m — representing one of the most significant earth-retaining highway projects in the region.
